A Derbyshire man has transformed his shed into a unique pub and games room, earning a place in the Shed of the Year competition. Bradley Severn, 28, created ‘The Gnome’s Rest’ in Langley Mill as a space for socializing with friends and family. The shed, which can accommodate up to 11 people, doubles as a pub and a versatile gaming area for activities like Warhammer.
Bradley’s shed, built over five months with an investment of nearly £2,000, features a beer garden for larger gatherings and multiple TVs for entertainment. The shed serves as his home office as well, showcasing his passion for creating a multifunctional space that caters to various interests.
The Shed of the Year competition, hosted by Cuprinol, saw 84 entries from across Britain, with Bradley’s creation making it to the final 22 in the Pub and Entertainment category. The competition not only celebrates creativity but also highlights the personal stories and dedication behind each shed’s construction.
Bradley expressed his excitement about being shortlisted and his hopes of winning, emphasizing the shed’s ongoing evolution with new decorations and additions. The competition offers winners a cash prize, a nature getaway, and products from Cuprinol, recognizing the effort and innovation put into these unique structures.
